Boneham & Turner prepares for centenary celebrations

It’s not often that a Made in the Midlands member reaches its centenary so when one does then it’s a real cause for celebration.

The firm notching up its hundredth year in business is aerospace and motorsports components manufacturer Boneham & Turner.

The Sutton-in-Ashfield company has pulled out all the stops for the celebration on Friday, including a visit by leading figures from the world of Formula 1.

Guests attending the event will be ferried from the Mour hotel by coach and given a factory tour before being invited to participate in an exclusive networking event.

Keynote speakers at the event include former Grands Prix winner turned Sky commentator, Johnny Herbert and former McLaren F1 pit crew member, now an F1 pundit, Marc Priestley.

Speakers from the manufacturing industry include: Nicholas Linney, of the Linney Group, Mick Chef, of Rocky Mountain Twist Drill, Lee Hopley, Chief Economist of the EEF, Claudio Durante, of SFC Koenig, and David Fagen, Regional Manager of the EEF.

The event is being hosted by Charles and Peter Boneham, with Master of Ceremonies for the evening celebrations being Mark Goldby.

In addition, there will be a special History of Boneham & Turner Exhibition, charting the development of the company during the past 100 years together its various landmarks.

There will also be an Industry Products and Services exhibition, with industry case studies from leading composite and tooling companies.

Charles Boneham said: “We are really looking forward to the event and welcoming so many visitors to Boneham & Turner, many of who have played a key role in our success.

“It should be quite an occasion.”
